Winner of the People's Choice Award at Helen Hamlyn 24 hour Design Challenge

What a week for 10 Collective, we won the people's choice award last night at the 24 hour design challenge and what a challenge it was and worth every minute of it. When it was announced that the 24hour challenge for a far bigger endurance test than the London Marathon that preceeded it, I laughed! This laughter was short lived as we put on heads down and realised that this was going to be a hectic 24 hours. None of it would have been possible were it not for our design partner Sally Booth (click here to see her website). Sally is visually impaired but very independent and wanted to be treated like everyone else but was finding problems in day to day life. From hearing about these difficulties we came up with the concept to create a personalised bank card that could record her details and could be used in many different service points therefore making not just Sally's life but everyone's life easier. This concept had inclusive design at its core. Well done to fellow team mates, Becky Ford, Louise Ryberg and Gemma Dinham and of course Sally Booth.
